Description:
Karmøy municipality announces a tender contest for transport of infectious waste for health and welfare agencies (the contracting authority). The Agency for Health and Care Services consists of different entities. Common to many of these is that some infectious waste is produced that must be destroyed. The amount of infectious waste varies greatly and the figures stated are only an estimate. If there are infection outbreaks in some of the locations, the volume of infectious waste will increase in periods. It will estimated that 21 locations shall be collected for infectious waste. See Annex 1 - collection locations for further information. The nursing homes will have the largest need for collecting infectious waste. The contract shall be valid for 2 years, maximum 4 years including an option. The total value during the entire contract period is estimated to approx. The values are estimated and are not binding for the contracting authority. The infectious waste shall initially be collected once a month at each entity. The proportion of infectious waste produced by Karmøy municipality is estimated to be between 1,000 and 2,000 kg per contract year, but it is pointed out that this is an estimate and that variations can occur.
